October 4, 2012 — Computer Associates (CAI) proudly announces the release of the new web-based Sales Portal as part of its Ponderosa Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for lumber, building materials, and millwork manufacturers and distributors. The Ponderosa Sales Portal is a complete B2B e-commerce solution that enables millwork distributors to increase sales, improve customer service, reduce errors and better manage transactions with customers.

The Sales Portal includes a suite of integrated web-based self-service tools that let your customers interact with your business online 24/7. First, the portal includes Ponderosa’s online Product Configurator. The web-based Product Configurator uses an intuitive software wizard along with high-resolution images and detailed illustrations to present selection criteria for entry door systems, interior doors, windows, window units, stair parts and other customized millwork products to let your customers configure and view their unique millwork products.

The Ponderosa Sales Portal is compatible with any web browser.

The Sales Portal also includes secure, web-based quotes and sales order entry. This convenient module streamlines sales by letting your customers submit product quotation requests and place sales orders online for immediate processing. A simplified quote template makes it clear to your customer what the different options are and ensures consistency of quotes while eliminating omission errors and reducing the time spent creating quotes. The portal also provides seamless integration with Ponderosa’s Inventory Control and Order Entry back-office database. Customers can submit quotes or enter sales orders from a single-page input screen for maximum simplicity.

Finally, the Ponderosa Sales Portal’s convenient ‘My Account’ module lets your customers easily view account information, balance summary, invoices, statements, purchase orders, adjustments and payments. In addition, you can access previous orders and check order status, maintain lists of frequently purchased products for re-order, view accounts receivable balances and aging summary.
